Located on the edge of Longmont, Colorado, LEAF is an RC club devoted entirely to 
electric and silent flight. With electric flight outlawed in many municipalities, folks need a place to fly. They find LEAF a fun club with great members and a top notch flying location. If you fly micros, park flyers, electric, electric conversions, helis, or Gliders/Sailplanes, LEAF is the place for you.
June will be our first meeting at the flying field for this season. We then move to Hobbytown (Longmont) for the months of October through April.

For LEAF members who would like to fly indoors. LEAF is proud to announce the addition of all year "INDOOR FLYING". We are focusing on indoor flying as a means to just have a bunch of fun while possibly sharpening our flying skills. To that end, we have procured the gym at Roosevelt park in Longmont for flying our indoor planes and helicopters. In accordance with AMA recommendations, LEAF members can fly a variety of small (<20oz) indoor planes and heli's. All you need to do is make the commitment to show up, pay the landing fee, fly and have fun. Indoor flying takes place at the gym and continues monthly through March of 2013.

LEAF and Hobbytown USA are hosting a series of basic flying lessons from May to late September 2012. There is no fee for this, no need to buy an aircraft, and no prior experience needed, just a committment to learn. We have experienced AMA approved instructors to teach you. If you are willing to put in some time to learn this exciting sport please talk to a HobbyTown USA associate to make arrangements.
