.: Flying at LEAF

The LEAF field is located at Union Reservoir on the edge of Longmont, Colorado. The property is leased from the city of Longmont for the exclusive use of LEAF members.

The runway is 312 ft. x 30 ft. with 4 pilot stations and 8 permanent work tables. We also have an in house charging station. Bring your charger, equipped with alligator plugs and charge up while you are flying. With 3 picnic tables feel free to bring along family and friends.

One thing that can not be planed around is mother nature. LEAF has an on-site weather station that relays weather information in real time. Simply call a phone number and it will give you the temp, current wind speed, as well as wind speeds for the last 45 minutes.

.: Directions to the Field

From Longmont: Take Ken Pratt Blvd (Hwy 119) East to east County Line Road (CR-1). Take County Line north to CR-26. Head east on CR-26 approximately 1/2 mile. LEAF is on the right (south) side of the road across the street from the beach at Union Reservoir.

From I-25: take hwy 119 (Longmont exit) west to East County Line Road (CR-1). Take County Line north to CR-26. Head east on CR-26 approximately 1/2 mile. LEAF is on the right (south) side of the road across the street from the beach at Union Reservoir.
